Typhoon No. 6'Mecala', accompanied by strong winds, landed in southern China, causing damage one after another.

The typhoon'Mecala', which occurred in the sea of ​​southern China yesterday (10th) afternoon, landed in Jiangpu County, Fujian province in southern China at 7:30am local time today (11th).


According to China's state-run CCTV, in Longhai City, Fujian Province, the steel structure of the factory collapsed in a strong wind reaching a maximum speed of 33m per second.

Factory officials explained that the wreckage was blown up to 50 m and there were no casualties.


In Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, a strong wind broke the living room windows of high-rise apartments, causing residents to evacuate and street trees toppled over vehicles.

Authorities have banned fishermen from fishing, and some of the trains and passenger ships have been suspended.

Mekala, which headed north through Fujian Province, was weakened by the tropical low pressure this afternoon.

Mekala is the name of the typhoon submitted in Thailand, meaning the angel of thunder.
