August 11, 2020 Democratic White House candidate Joe Biden has chosen Kamala Harris as his deputy The New York Times reports it. 

Harris, a moderate senator from California, is the first African American woman to be part of a US presidential ticket.

The vote will take place on November 3, when Biden faces President Donald Trump, who is running for a second term.
