Cherry Beach in Toronto, Canada. - NEW CHINA / SIPA

The scene could have turned into a drama. On Sunday, two men, filmed by witnesses, threatened several people by throwing chainsaws on a beach in Toronto in Canada. They were indicted Monday by justice, we learned from a police source.

The two men had taken part in a brawl on Cherry Beach, in a former industrial area in metropolitan Ontario. Wounded, they had left the scene before returning shortly after, shirtless, each brandishing a lit chainsaw and shouting threats at a small crowd which quickly dispersed, according to images posted on social networks.

No injuries

Both men had bloody wounds, witnesses said. They did not injure anyone with their chainsaws, police told AFP.

Quickly arrested by the police, they were presented on Monday to a city court where their indictment was formally served on them. The police did not disclose the charges.
