These are Östergötland, Blekinge, Värmland, Uppsala, Dalarna and Örebro. As a basis, FHI states that these regions have had over 20 new confirmed cases of infection per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks.

Twelve Swedish regions are already red-listed by the Norwegian government: Norrbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Gävleborg, Västmanland, Stockholm, Gotland, Västra Götaland, Halland, Jönköping, Kronoberg and Skåne.

Also want red list countries

In addition to the Swedish regions, the recommendation also applies to two Danish areas: Zealand, minus the capital region, and Central Jutland.

FHI also recommends that six European countries be completely red-listed: Iceland, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Cyprus and the Faroe Islands.

The Faroe Islands stand out significantly, with 205.4 confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks. Other countries on FHI's list are between 20.1 and 58.6 confirmed cases during the same period.
