11 August 2020 Twelve people were slightly injured, two of whom were taken to hospital, after a cable car in Lourdes abruptly stopped following a power outage caused by a violent storm. The firefighters announced it. "There was a power outage after a lightning strike caused the funicular to stop", the firefighters explained, "the cabin that was descending with 27 people on board had a sudden stop with an immediate restart.
