The World Health Organization and the US health authorities called for caution and wait, after Russia announced today a vaccine against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19), while Moscow announced that production will start next month and that twenty countries have previously requested "more than a billion doses."

"We are in close contact with the Russian authorities, and the talks are continuing. The stage that precedes the licensing of any vaccine goes through strict mechanisms," WHO spokesman Tariq Yasarevich said during a video conference.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced earlier today that the Russian vaccine against the Corona virus had been registered, making Russia the first country in the world to officially register a vaccine for Corona.

During his meeting with members of the Russian government, Putin said that the Russian vaccine works effectively and generates sustainable immunity in the vaccinators, stressing that the vaccine has passed all the necessary tests. He also confirmed that one of his daughters had received the vaccination.

"As far as I know today morning, for the first time in the world, an anti-Coronavirus vaccine was registered. I know that the vaccine works effectively and generates strong immunity. I repeat that the vaccine has passed all necessary tests," the Russian president said.

Despite Putin's announcement that one of his daughters had received the new vaccine to give more reassurance about his safety, the US health authorities have expressed doubts about the Russian vaccine being launched so quickly.

The Secretary-General of the American Health Service, Alex Azar, said in a press statement from Taiwan that the most important thing is the efficacy and safety of the vaccine before you are the first to produce it.

For his part, the head of the Russian sovereign fund Kirill Dmitriev announced that twenty foreign countries had previously requested "more than a billion doses" of the Russian vaccine, indicating that the third phase of experiments began Wednesday, explaining that industrial production would start next month.

Dmitriev said that the vaccine was called "Sputnik V", after the name of the Soviet satellite, which was the first spacecraft to be placed in orbit, and the letter "V" represented the first letter of the word vaccine in several foreign languages.

Chinese vaccine

Meanwhile, Indonesia has started trials of 1,600 Chinese volunteers who have entered the third phase of testing.

This vaccine, which is being prepared by the Chinese company "Biotec", called "Corona Vacc", is one of several vaccines that entered the third and final stage of the pre-approval test.

And it has already begun testing it on 9,000 volunteers in Brazil, the second country most affected by the epidemic.

Indonesia, the fourth largest country in the world by population, is facing an increase in the number of cases of the epidemic.

Despite this development in the field of vaccine development, the world is still facing an increase in the spread of Corona with more than twenty million cases.
