According to TASS, referring to a statement in the official Telegram channel of the department, the politician left the country on the night of August 11.

"In connection with numerous media inquiries, the State Border Committee informs: Svetlana Tikhanovskaya was issued to travel to the Republic of Lithuania at the checkpoint" Kotlovka "at 3:30 on August 11," the message says.

Earlier, the head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry Linas Linkevicius said that Tihanovskaya was in Lithuania. He later added that before arriving in the Baltic republic, the politician was detained for seven hours on Belarusian territory.

Tikhanovskaya's confidant Olga Kovalkova spoke about the politician's departure to Lithuania.
