Egypt decides to transfer shipments of "dangerous materials" from airport warehouses after the Beirut bombing

The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced in a statement yesterday evening, Sunday, that the necessary precautionary measures have been taken against dangerous shipments inside the Egyptian airport stores by transferring them to safe storage places, nearly a week after the bombing of the devastated Beirut Port.

In its statement, which it published on its Facebook page, the ministry decided: "To form a supreme committee that includes all concerned parties."

The task of the committee will be to "examine and count all shipments, warehouses and storage containers in the goods village and storage yards of the Cairo Air Port and all airports nationwide to take precautionary measures against dangerous materials and release them immediately or transfer them to safe storage places outside the scope of the air ports and the population presence in order to address any risks before Their occurrence. "

The explosion of the Beirut port last week resulted in the destruction of the port and caused massive destruction in its vicinity, killing 158 people and wounding more than six thousand others, and the Ministry of Health reported that there were 21 missing.
