CNN published a copy of the summons issued by a US court against Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and 13 other Saudis, in the lawsuit filed by former Saudi security advisor Saad Al-Jabri against them and accusing them of "attempting to assassinate him." .

The aforementioned notes were issued on August 7, following the lawsuit filed by Saad al-Jabri's lawyer, in which he accused bin Salman and advisors close to him of attempting to assassinate his client.

The lawsuit says that bin Salman sent an "assassination squad" from the Kingdom to Canada in October 2018 to assassinate Al-Jabri, just days after a similar squad assassinated Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

CNN said that it had requested comment from the Saudi authorities on the summons, but had not yet responded.

The American TV station added that it had also requested a comment on the accusations that came in the lawsuit filed by Saad Al-Jabri, but without a response from the Saudi authorities.

Among the defendants in the same case are the former advisor at the royal court, Saud Al-Qahtani, Ahmed Asiri, the former deputy head of intelligence, Badr Al-Asaker, director of the crown prince's private office and director of the Misk Charitable Foundation.
