Xinhua News Agency, Beirut, August 10 (Huang Shifeng) On the 10th, China's 18th batch of peacekeeping medical teams to Lebanon donated a batch of medical supplies to the local government of Ma Jiayong.

  On the same day, before the start of the donation ceremony, Mayor Ma Jiayong Amar Hulani led the main leaders of the municipal government to meet with Li Ruzhen, the Chinese medical team leader, and his entourage in the city hall. Hulani thanked the Chinese government for its consistent support and assistance to Lebanon, and thanked the Chinese peacekeeping troops in Lebanon for their assistance to the local area.

  Deputy Mayor Surrey Gomiye thanked the Chinese peacekeeping medical team for this donation. He said: "I know that you have carried out many free consultations and donation activities in the local area before the epidemic, and sincerely thank you for your contributions. I hope you will have the opportunity to come to Lebanon again."

  It is reported that the medical supplies donated this time are mainly medicines for external use, preventive medicines and some equipment, etc. The majority of Chinese patent medicines are 22 varieties.

  Since its deployment to Lebanon in May last year, China’s 18th batch of medical teams for peacekeeping missions to Lebanon have carried out 5 medical clinics and 6 medical donations for local people. On July 28, the first group of 15 members of the team returned to China in rotation. According to the plan, the remaining second batch of 15 people will set off to return home on the 18th of this month.
