11 August 2020A 16-year-old boy died crushed by a large boulder on the Piave bed in Campo di Santa Giustina, in Veneto. This was announced by the Regional Alpine and Speleological Rescue.  

For reasons at the moment to be established, the boulder ended up on him while the young man was playing with some peers. Immediate alarm and the arrival of the Suem 118 health workers on board the helicopter who tried to stabilize the 16-year-old while the firefighters removed the stone. 

The medical staff, providing life support, then loaded the boy on board the helicopter together with his mother, who had rushed in in the meantime. Transported to the Belluno hospital, the young man died from the severity of his injuries.
