Communication platforms have been invitations to participate in them remotely

Weddings raising the slogan "15 minutes of joy ... no 15-day stone"

Citizens and residents of the country announced that their weddings would be held in their homes, despite the opening of wedding halls in some emirates of the country, to avoid infection with the Coronavirus, and to transmit it to the newlyweds, their families and invitees.

Social media platforms circulated invitations to participate in weddings remotely, one of which came under the slogan "15 Minutes Joy ... No 15 Days Stone", and another carried the phrase "We invite you to share the joy with us from your homes."

Citizens and residents confirmed that they decided to hold weddings remotely at home, to avoid mixing of those infected with the virus with the invitees, and transmitting the infection to them or to the newlyweds.

Two weeks ago, the competent authorities in the state revealed that five families were infected with the virus, including about 47 individuals, of different ages, some of whom attended a wedding ceremony, and the other offered condolences, as a result of holding special gatherings and celebrations.

Citizens Rashid Samaan, Ahmed Shaiban and Muhammad Abdullah said that they are committed to precautionary and preventive measures to combat the Corona virus, and that holding weddings "remotely" despite the opening of wedding and event halls comes within the framework of preserving the public health and safety of the family of the newlyweds and the invitees.

They added that holding weddings remotely for a period of 15 minutes using a visual electronic program, would be a great source of happiness for the newlyweds, compared to holding weddings in a wedding hall and entering one of the invitees infected with the virus and transmitting it to the other participants, and subsequently obligating them to quarantine 15 days per day.

They indicated that they care about the joy and stability of the newlyweds, far from appearances that may lead to unfortunate consequences, especially in light of the lack of commitment by some of the precautionary measures, and the possibility of the virus spreading among the invitees, adding that holding the wedding remotely guarantees safety and reassurance for the newlyweds and their families.

Residents Ismail Farah, Yasser Abu Alwafa and Khaled Abu Hamda pointed out that opening wedding halls according to the precautionary measures does not prevent the holding of wedding parties remotely in homes, because the risk of infection and spreading the virus is still possible.
