The Top 14 players "do not know where they are going" with the Covid-19 pandemic, which still threatens the championship one month before the resumption, notes Toulon hooker Anthony Etrillard in an interview with AFP.

Victim of a fibula fracture in January when he was summoned by the XV of France for the Six Nations Tournament, Etrillard will find the sensations of a match on Friday at the same time as his teammates, deprived of the end of the season by the health crisis , during the first RCT preparation meeting against Grenoble (Pro D2).

Q: How did you experience your injury in this particular context?

A: "At the time, I was disappointed but in my misfortune, I didn't miss a lot of matches. I quickly put things into perspective by telling myself that my injury was not that serious. After my operation, I did. had more than a month when I couldn't put my foot on the ground. It was a bit complicated but I quickly walked again so things got back to normal. For my rehabilitation, there was confinement. So I was able to take care of myself and recover properly from my operation. "

Q: Precisely, was your convalescence complicated by confinement?

A: "I had to do my rehabilitation myself at home. The physiotherapists were not allowed to come to see me. They sent me programs every week so that I did my exercises every day and that I was try to waste as little time as possible on my rehabilitation. It went pretty well. When we were able to resume training, I could run and we were doing a lot of weight training so I was able to work my leg without losing of time on the group ".

Q: Several clubs have announced they have Covid-19 positive players. Are you worried about the resumption of the championship?

A: "We are not asking too many questions for the moment. These are complicated issues for everyone: clubs, players, supporters… We don't know where we are going. There are bodies to decide but we don't know, if we catch it, how it's going to happen. Unfortunately, either we play and we take a risk, or we do not play and it would be dramatic. Afterwards, we are checked quite often and take the most possible precautions. But the gauge of 5,000 spectators (authorized for the moment, Editor's note), it is a pinch in the heart. I think that it should be in proportion to the capacity of the stadium. Obviously, there are specialists who are working on this issue but playing in front of 5,000 spectators, it will be weird. "
