TASS was informed about this on Monday at the CEC.

“Tikhanovskaya visited the Central Election Commission to file a complaint,” the agency was told.

As specified, Tikhanovskaya demands to recognize the announced election results as invalid, and also insists on a recount of votes or a repeat voting in a number of precincts.

Earlier, the headquarters of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya prepared a complaint to the CEC.

Tikhanovskaya's headquarters said that they do not recognize the official data of the Belarusian CEC on the preliminary results of the presidential elections.

On August 10, the CEC of Belarus announced the preliminary results of the presidential elections in the republic, according to which the current president, Alexander Lukashenko, is gaining 80.23% of the vote.

At the same time, 574 312 people, or 9.90%, voted for Tikhanovskaya.
