"Sun, bath and the law of the jungle," begins a post on Facebook from the police in southern Gothenburg, which in less than a day has been shared around 1,300 times.

The intervention police in Gothenburg are now sharply criticizing the bathing place visitors who park so badly that it blocks emergency routes for the police, ambulance and rescue service.

Seconds can be crucial

The Greater Gothenburg rescue service agrees that this is a recurring problem when it is sunny and hot.

- It's about seconds for human survival sometimes. It is directly vital, so it is very important that we arrive, says PA Lindfeldt, operations manager at the rescue service.

"Appeals to the public"

During the past weekend, the police in Gothenburg have been at several bathing sites and helped the parking companies to fine cars that, for example, were parked in turning zones and on expression roads. It also happens that cars can be towed away.

The rescue service now wants to ask people to think twice.

- We would like to appeal to the public to cooperate, says PA Lindfeldt.
