At 6 am, the flames were under control. The house next to the caravan was hardly affected. "It could have been much worse," said the first deputy mayor to  Ouest France . “The fire was starting to hit the walls of the house when the firefighters arrived. "

According to the first observations, an extension could have caused the start of fire. The thirty-something would have burnt his hands while trying to rescue his dog, stuck in the caravan on fire, says  L'Orne Combattante .
