Turkey continues to manufacture parts for the US F-35 fighter plane (F-35) after the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that the production of the fighter will continue with the participation of Ankara until 2022.

The United States had suspended Turkey's participation in the industrialization program after purchasing the S-400 missile system from Russia, but this suspension will not take effect until 2022.

Earlier, Turkey requested the purchase of 100 fighters from this American fighter, and began training its pilots on them, but the dispute stopped the training, and allowed only formal delivery of 3 aircraft, none of which reached Turkish territory.

The island entered a plant belonging to the "Kuchuk Pazarli" Air Industries Company, and monitored the manufacture of parts for these advanced American fighters, noting that Turkey manufactures 139 parts for the F-35 fighter.

The company's executive director, Taha Kucuk Bazarli, says that Turkey is one of the 9 main countries participating in this program, and he explains that the company is currently working on delivering parts for 3,000 aircraft, and that this will achieve profits of more than 9 billion dollars.

For his part, the Turkish expert in defense industries, Ozgur Iksi, says that the United States will not easily find an alternative to Turkey, as its removal from the program will allow it to benefit from the technologies to develop its domestic fighters, as well as to use the fighters available to it in the event that it does not deliver the F-35 fighters.
