For the American president, if negotiations for a new aid plan have failed in Congress, it is because of the Democrats! “  Nancy Pelosi [the leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives] and Chuck Schumer [his counterpart in the Senate] have decided to hold this vital aid hostage , vituperated Donald Trump . Democrats are obstructing! So I decided to act by decree, That's enough! We will save jobs and relieve American workers.  "

Among the measures provided for by the 4 presidential decrees, cuts in wage charges, protection for tenants threatened with eviction, a freeze on student loan repayments and unemployment assistance of $ 400.
This aid was precisely one of the sticking points in the negotiations in Congress. Democrats wanted to keep it at $ 600, Republicans wanted to lower it to $ 200.

Aid may not be released right away

By signing these decrees, Donald Trump poses as the savior, three months before the presidential election. And he did not fail to put himself forward, promising to extend certain measures in case of victory.

If I am elected in November, " the president promised, " I intend to forget some of these taxes and lower some pay taxes for good." Joe Biden and the Democrats don't want that!  "

Aid promised by the current White House tenant may not be released right away, as Democrats have warned they will take legal action if the president overrides Congress.
