-Both children were injured, one of them was unconscious, says Anders Lännholm, rescue leader at the Sea and Air Rescue Center, to TT.
After the collision, one of the boats sank and the other began to take in water. All people on board ended up in the water, but were picked up by a passing boat, reports Dagens Nyheter.
Just before 9 pm on Saturday, rescue helicopters, coastguards and an ambulance helicopter were alerted to the scene. The injured children have now been taken to hospital.
-We took them as fast as we could to the ambulance helicopter that took the mother and the two children to hospital. The child who was unconscious woke up a moment later, says Lännholm.
The police were also called to the scene, and have now initiated a preliminary investigation regarding negligence in maritime traffic and causing bodily injury.
What caused the collision is still unclear. The adults on board survived without injuries.
