August 09, 2020The US has surpassed 5 million coronavirus cases, according to the New York Times database. The United States also leads the sad ranking for the number of deaths, over 162,000. In second place was Brazil, which exceeded 3 million cases and 100,000 deaths. In the latest report by the Brazilian health authorities it is indicated that in the last 24 hours 49,970 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed, bringing the general total of infected to 3,012,412. In South Africa over 10 thousand deaths
South Africa has surpassed 10,000 coronavirus deaths since the outbreak appeared in that country in March. The South African Ministry of Health said so.
