The blood circulation, which usually attracts thousands of runners in Örebro alone, will be carried out again this year, despite the corona pandemic.

But to follow the Swedish Public Health Agency's (FHM) recommendations, the competition is being redone.

- Instead of everyone running the same course, we will cut up a few different ones, explains Johan Ingjald who is responsible for the event. But you can run where you want.

And instead of running a single day at the same time, you have a week to yourself.

Short list of participants

However, the interest in the course of the year is far from the almost 5,000 registered it is usually about. This year, 300 have signed up to participate.

- We still want to complete the race this year as well, as this is a good way to draw attention to the importance of donating blood. But many companies that usually have this as a fun event for the staff have for natural reasons not signed up this year. No joint picnic afterwards is arranged either.

"Take the victory in advance"

However, all participants receive a medal - already in the starter pack.

- If you want, you can run with the medal on you from the start and take out the victory in advance, laughs Johan Ingjald.
