The Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Mattar Muhammad Al Tayer, said: “The new bridges and roads project contributes to providing bridging entrances and exits to Deira Islands, at the intersection of Al Khaleej Street with Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Street, and the total length of bridges and ramps is 2571 meters, with a total capacity of 20,700 One vehicle per hour, where the first bridge consists of two lanes, providing free traffic for those coming from Al Khaleej Street towards the north to Deira Islands with a length of 472 meters, and a capacity of 3000 vehicles per hour, and a second bridge with a capacity of three lanes provides free traffic from Deira Islands towards the Shindagha Tunnel With a length of 503 meters, with a capacity of 4,500 vehicles per hour, and a third bridge with a capacity of two lanes, it provides free traffic movement from Deira Islands to Gulf Road in the north at a length of 647 meters, and has a capacity of 3000 vehicles per hour.

The fourth bridge is 362 meters long and consists of six lanes, with a capacity of 7,200 vehicles per hour to connect with the internal roads of Deira Islands. The length of the fifth bridge, which was completed in a previous period, is 587 meters and has a capacity of two lanes, and its capacity is estimated at 3000 vehicles per hour. He added: “Future plans for the Shindagha Corridor project include the implementation of the fourth phase, which includes the development of Al Khaleej Street and the intersection of Al Khaleej Street with Abu Hail Street, and the development of the intersection of Sheikh Rashid Street with Jumeirah Street, Al Mina Street and Al Mankhool Street, through the implementation of bridges of 3.4 kilometers and tunnels of 2.25 kilometers. There are six surface intersections and 5.1 kilometers of roads, and this stage is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, and the plan includes implementing the fifth stage, and includes the implementation of bridges leading to Deira Islands from the south, and the length of the bridges is estimated at 1.5 kilometers, and this stage is expected to be completed in 2027.

It should be noted that the Shindagha Corridor has a total length of 13 km, and the project includes the development of 15 intersections with the road network, and the Shindagha Corridor is surrounded by a number of large development projects, such as: Deira Islands, Dubai Waterfront, Dubai Maritime City, Port Rashid, and the axis contributes when completed Reducing the flight time on the hub from 104 minutes to 16 minutes in 2030.
