Due to the pandemic, it has lately been uncertain whether this year's swim run in Karlskrona could be carried out. But by adapting the competition to the existing restrictions, it could be held on Saturday.

- We are very happy that we can do this, says Patrik Linde, official from IFK Karlskrona.

The start and finish line have been moved

The competition is conducted in teams consisting of two people. Those who do the longest distance run 12 kilometers and swim 1.8 kilometers. This year, the number of participants has been limited to 200 and since a maximum of 50 people can be on the track at the same time, they have been allowed to spread the starts in four groups.

- We had actually planned to expand the competition this year, so up to 600 could have competed, but that did not happen, says Patrik Linde.

The start and finish corridors have also been moved from Stortorget to the courtyard at Sparre and no audience may be on site.

- At Stortorget we usually have some sales and so on, but we have had to skip it completely and have had to make an audience-free start, says Patrik Linde.
