“I was surprised to learn that some media outlets are discussing a non-existent decision about flights of Khabarovsk officials in business class,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

He noted that on August 5 he signed a decree stating that officials should fly in economy class.

The day before, a draft law appeared on the official Internet portal of the region's regulatory legal acts, according to which members of the regional government are compensated for travel expenses through the territory of Russia in the amount of "the cost of air travel at a business class tariff."

The regional government said that they are finding out who drew up this project and noted that it had not been agreed with Degtyarev.

Earlier, Degtyarev said he had no plans to raise his salary.
