As noted, the building is located in the Ashrafiya district in the capital.

The agency writes that the protesters raised posters that read "Beirut - Demilitarized City" and "Capital of the Revolution."

According to LBCI, security officers came to the Foreign Ministry building for talks with the protesters.

Earlier in the center of Beirut, near the parliament building, clashes broke out between demonstrators and the police, which had to use tear gas.

According to the Red Cross, at least 58 people were injured during the clashes.
