Abu Dhabi Police, in cooperation with the Follow-up and Control Center-Abu Dhabi, and within the media initiative "You Comment", broadcast through its social media platforms real scenes of serious accidents on the emirate's roads, due to the recklessness of some drivers, and their failure to leave a safety distance between vehicles.
The video revealed the lack of traffic awareness of some drivers, and some of them deliberately clinged to other vehicles, in a dangerous and contrary to safety rules and contrary to traffic regulations, which puts the lives and property of road users at grave danger.
The Director of the Security Media Department in the Command Affairs Sector of Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Muhammad Ali Al Muhairi, stressed the importance of revealing to the public the true scenes of the dangerous violations of some drivers that endanger the lives of others as a result of reckless driving and failure to adhere to the civilized behavior of some road users.
He added that the “Comment You” initiative has met with wide interaction from followers since its launch on social media accounts, pointing to the success of the videos of real accidents in raising awareness among the public who are keen to comment and express their disapproval of the actions of some non-compliant drivers, calling for tightening control and violating anyone who exposes the safety of users Roads are at risk.
He pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police monitors traffic violations on the roads around the clock through follow-up cameras in cooperation with the Follow-up and Control Center in the emirate, and that the violation of "not leaving a safety distance between vehicles" is one of the main causes of traffic accidents on the roads.
