He was lying on the ground near the port of Beirut when Ghalib Hatoum was waiting for his relative and long-time friend Imad Zahreddine, and he told Al-Jazeera Net how the family was burning for any news about Imad, who works as guarding the port.

It seems Imad, 45, is buried under the rubble of the port.

Ghaleb tried to prevent Imad's mother from coming to the site of the explosion, but his attempts failed, and the mother insisted on waiting for her son near the port.

Upon her arrival, she began crying and wailing, and asked the Lebanese army soldiers blocking the road to the port - which has become a closed military zone - to open the way for her to search for her son.

She said to the soldiers, "Let me see my son and smell her. If he sees his mother, he comes out from under the dirt, blinks with my eyes, and fries.
