“Sanctions imposed in the name of ensuring human rights are in fact killing people and depriving them of their fundamental rights, including the right to health and food, and even the very right to life,” TASS quotes the text of the statement.

Experts included Venezuela, Iran, Yemen, Cuba, Syria and Sudan among the countries most affected by the sanctions.

“We reiterate our call on countries that have imposed sanctions to urgently lift them, suspend or minimize them so that medicines, medical equipment, food and fuel can be delivered,” the text says.
