The Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, has accused the director of the Center for Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simón, of "disloyalty" and of "generating alarm" in the people of Madrid, assuring yesterday that " it is not a good indicator "that Madrid only discovers 15% of asymptomatic patients.

According to Escudero, who held a meeting today with Simón to clarify this aspect, he indicated that the data on asymptomatic patients detected by our healthcare network "is 60%, a figure that is above the average for many communities."

"This data corresponds to the diagnostic tests we carry out," added the Minister of Health, who insisted that the Community of Madrid "acts with complete transparency in the transmission of data."

"It seems to me a disloyalty that there are no data that correspond to reality," said Ruiz Escudero. "We are dimensioning our epidemiological network, providing that elasticity necessary for our primary and hospital healthcare network and we would like to know what the strategy of the Government of Spain is," challenged the head of the Health portfolio.

"The epidemiological situation is growing in all communities and we are responding to early detection and establishing the ability to establish quarantines at the individual level and provide assistance to our network," added Escudero, who has continued to request "collaboration" from Madrid residents to continue taking the necessary security measures.
