It is noted that on August 7, three rescue operations took place on Elbrus. In the morning, at an altitude of 5.2 thousand meters, the athlete from Belgorod became ill. By noon, he was lowered to an altitude of 3.8 thousand meters. There is no threat to his life.

Later, at an altitude of more than 5 thousand meters, two more climbers needed help. 

"As of 17.55 Moscow time, search and rescue operations at heights of 5300 and 5600 meters have been completed, both evacuees refused to help the doctors," RIA Novosti quotes the Ministry of Emergencies.

In July, the body of a climber was found at the top of a volcano in Kamchatka.
