The sound of the piano resonating in a ruined house crossed Beirut and echoed the hearts of people all over the world.

On the 5th of the local time, foreigners such as the US CNN introduced a video of a grandmother spreading quickly on social media after the Beirut explosion.

In the video, a gray-haired grandmother sits in a house shattered with broken furniture and pieces of glass. While all the windows are broken and the door frame collapses, covering the furniture in the house, the grandmother starts to play the piano calmly. Bursts and horns continue to be heard outside the open window, but the peaceful piano melody continues.

The main character of the video is Mr. Melki, 79, who has lived in this house for 60 years. Melki, who was out at the time of the massive explosion on the 4th, returned home unfortunately without being injured, but the house, 1.6 km from the accident site, was in ruins. It was the home of Mr. Melki's life, which was not collapsed even though he was baptized with bullets during the Lebanese civil war.

But instead of feeling desperate, Melki sat at the piano. This piano, which remained intact among broken furniture, was a gift from his father the day Melki married her decades ago. Melki pressed the pain of the heart and played the piano song silently with hope.

“I felt a sense of duty to release this video to people. My grandmother's performance is a symbol of hope and peace,” said her granddaughter Meiri while photographing this and posting it on social media. The video was quickly shared among the people of Beirut who were suffering from the accident, and they said, "We tears all the way through."

Foreigners also introduced Mr. Melki's story, and the video sparked an explosive response worldwide. The netizens share the video of a grandmother called'The Hope of Beirut' and spread the message "I will pray for Lebanon" and "Let's be hope for each other".
