After a year in power, the Mauritanian president changes government. Mohamed Ould Bilal has been appointed Prime Minister. He is to form a government team in the coming days. This decision comes at a time when a parliamentary inquiry was carried out for acts of corruption targeting several ministers.

In Cameroon, there are concerns about the resurgence of the measles epidemic. The vaccination campaign was canceled during the Covid-19 health crisis and since then parents are sometimes hesitant to go to the hospital. 

In Kenya, the wildebeest migration attracts many tourists every year. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they were unable to travel. The wildebeest are therefore quiet but it is a hard blow for the local tribes who depend a lot on this tourism.
