"The Russian ecosystem of disinformation and propaganda is a collection of official, improvised and unattributed communication channels and platforms that Russia uses to create and reinforce false stories," the agency quotes from the report.

According to the American side, this ecosystem consists of five points. This list includes "official government communications, government-funded global broadcasting, cultivation of improvised resources, the use of social media as a weapon and disinformation through activities in cyberspace."

The State Department emphasizes that Russia is opposed in this matter with organized efforts, which the United States intends to actively help.

Earlier it was reported that the US Department of State is asking for $ 138 million in the budget for 2021 to combat "disinformation and propaganda" from Russia.
