8:20 am: Towards a shortage of flour?

8:15 am: Emmanuel Macron flies to Lebanon

Emmanuel Macron took off this Thursday shortly before 8 a.m. for Lebanon, in order to meet all the political actors there and to show his support for the country two days after the violent explosions in Beirut, the Elysee said.

The Head of State is due to land around noon (local time) in Beirut where he will be greeted by Lebanese President Michel Aoun. He will then go directly to the port, the site of the explosions which caused at least 113 deaths and 4,000 injuries, according to a still provisional report.
