It was at 2 pm on Saturday 18 July that an 80-year-old woman was attacked and seriously injured by a man unknown to her with a stabbing weapon. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the woman bloody at Hästhagsudden near Stafsinge beach, northwest of Falkenberg's center.

The day after the act, a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. During questioning, the man denied the crime and on Wednesday the man was dismissed from all suspicions.

No other suspected perpetrator

- There is nothing that connects him to the crime scene, says chamber prosecutor Klas Lundgren to SVT news Halland.

Police have not found any other suspected perpetrators and are now appealing to the people who were in the area on July 18 between 12 and 15 to contact them with information from the scene.
