In any case, cyclist Fabio Jakobsen will be kept in a coma until Friday. That is what the doctors say in the Polish hospital where he had a five-hour operation on the night from Wednesday to Thursday. Jakobsen was seriously injured after a crash during the Tour of Poland and the question arises how safe it is in cycling.

The 23-year-old rider wanted to overtake but because Dylan Groenewegen deviated from his line, Jakobsen flew against the gates and crashed hard. The international cycling union condemned the dangerous action of Groenewegen and you can hear about it in this podcast former cyclist Bobbie Traksel of the cycling union VVBW.
