Jens Lantto and his daughter were about to help the neighbors with the pigs in the pendant when the daughter suddenly discovered a dog among the pigs. The dog turned out to be a wolf.

-I had a high rope with me and went inside. The wolf did not turn away until I was two meters away from him. It looked like it was a young wolf, says Jens Lantto, a neighbor of the pig farm.

Hunters on site

According to Jens, no pig has been injured and the incident has been reported to the police and the county administrative board.

-Hunters have been on duty to kill it if it goes on more cattle, says Jens Lantto.

The same wolf as in Tvärålund

SVT has previously reported on a wolf that killed nine sheep in Tvärålund at the end of July. DNA tests showed that the wolf came from Dalarna. The County Administrative Board is not sure if it is the same wolf that has been in Burträsk.

-We believe that it is the same wolf that has been seen in Tvärålund as in Järvtjärn but we do not know for sure. Judging by the pictures, it looks like a younger wolf. He looks around for people and looks for food, says Björn Jonsson, nature conservation director at the County Administrative Board.
