President Moon Jae-in expressed his condolences to President Michelle Aun in connection with the recent explosion in Lebanon.
In a post on social media this afternoon (May 5), President Moon said, "I hope that under the leadership of President Michelle Aun, the damage will be restored promptly and that the Lebanese people will be able to recover from peace and sorrow from shock and sorrow."
President Moon said, "I can't help but be sorry for the news that there have been many casualties."
Local media in Lebanon say more than 100 people have been killed and more than 4,000 wounded in the explosion in the capital Beirut.
