Above all, it is the lock in Brokind that has been particularly popular.
- We have had several days in the lock in Brokind with a record number of boats in one day, says Karin Nybrolin, CEO of AB Kinda channel in a press release.
The company Kinda kanal AB is owned by Region Östergötland, Linköping Municipality and Kinda Municipality. The purpose is to preserve the soon-to-be 150-year-old building with hand-operated locks.
- For us, this is about making the whole region a relevant destination. There must be several goals within a region to attract visitors from outside to our entire hospitality industry. Kinda Canal is one of several players that together can attract people to Östergötland, says Karin Nybrolin.
