Regarding the system for centrally managing the information of infected persons of the new coronavirus, Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga revealed that it has been used in most local governments with public health centers.
Due to the spread of new coronavirus infection, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare began operating a system called "HER=SYS" in May, which centrally manages infected person information.
However, as of the end of last month, it was not used by approximately 30 local governments in Tokyo and Osaka out of 155 local governments with public health centers.
At the press conference on the 5th, Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga revealed that the number of local governments that Tokyo is using has increased to 153, including the start of operations in Tokyo this week.
He said, "I would like to promote the utilization of the system, including support for data entry at medical institutions and public health centers," and stated that I would like to continue reducing the burden on public health centers.
