In Sochi, a case was initiated over a bear attack on a child

This is reported by Izvestia with reference to the data of the Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory.

An enclosure with two wild bears was set up on a land plot leased by a commercial firm. Through an unlocked metal gate, the child approached the enclosure, and the animals attacked him, causing him multiple injuries. The doctors who arrived at the scene stated the death of the child.

In July, OTR, citing data from the Agency for Forestry and Wildlife Conservation of the Kamchatka Territory, reported a bear attack on a fisherman in the city of Elizovo.
