The theft must have taken place when the truck driver went to sleep. The next morning, the driver discovered that someone had cut open the canopy on the truck and disappeared with the ammunition.

According to Kristianstadbladet, the thieves took 52,000 sharp cartridges from the truck.

The police: "Can provide crime throughout Sweden"

The truck must have transported the ammunition from a company in Germany to Sweden. The police are critical of the fact that the transport has taken place so openly, without security.

- We work hard to prevent weapons and ammunition from ending up in criminals. That is why we react to the fact that it is permitted to transport such large quantities of ammunition in an ordinary truck. These are patrons who can support large parts of the criminals throughout Sweden. It is extremely worrying, says Robert Loeffel, to the newspaper.

The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into aggravated theft. There is currently no suspect in the crime.
