- Many people have too much faith in themselves, says Jonny Darabant, vice chairman of the Swedish Lifesaving Society in Sörmland.
In June, a record number drowned in Sweden, but in July there were unusually few. One explanation is believed to be that it has been both colder and rainier than usual. In total, there were ten people drowning during the month, which is the lowest figure in almost 30 years.
One of the cases occurred at Borsöknasjön in Eskilstuna where a man in his 30s lost his life.
