Manchester United, Inter, Shakhtar Donetsk and Copenhagen qualified on Wednesday, in matches played behind closed doors, for the unprecedented eight-team final tournament of the Europa League, held from August 10 to 21 in Germany.

The Red Devils, scarecrows of the event and already almost qualified after their away victory in the first leg against the Austrians from Linz (5-0), managed their lead with a reshaped team and won 2-1.

Two minutes after a magnificent goal from Wiesinger (55th), with a strike in the skylight over 25m, the Mancuniens equalized through Jesse Lingard (57th) then doubled the stake thanks to the Frenchman Anthony Martial (88th) ), entered a few minutes earlier.

Another favorite for the final victory, Inter did not tremble against Getafe (2-0) in one of the two Italo-Spanish duels of these 8th disputed in Germany in dry matches, the first leg matches not having could be played in March due to the pandemic and the lack of air links between the two countries at that time.

Inter made the decision thanks to a cross shot from the left from the inevitable Lukaku (33rd) and a goal from Eriksen (83rd) and will meet in the quarters Rangers or Bayer Leverkusen (1-3 in the first leg) .

The Danes of Copenhagen will find Manchester United after sweeping Istanbul Basaksehir 3-0, unable to improve on their 1-0 victory obtained in the first leg and which seems to have paid for the efforts made in the league to clinch Turkey's first league title of its history.

Copenhagen managed to suffocate Basaksehir, while leaving possession of the ball to his opponent, by scoring very quickly in this match (4th) before taking cover in the second period on a penalty from Jonas Wind, who was offered a brace (52nd), and a last goal from Rasmus Falk (62nd).

Already victorious in the first leg (2-1), Shakhtar Donetsk, recent Ukrainian champion, left no chance for the Germans of Wolfsburg, swept 3-0, after a match marked by an expulsion from each side.

In a pleasant and rhythmic game in which he only missed goals for a long time, Shakhtar made the difference in four minutes at the very end of the match, with a double from the Ukrainian international Moraes (89th, 90 + 3) and a goal from young Israeli striker Manor Solomon (90 + 1).

The Ukrainians will find Basel or Frankfurt in the quarter-finals, which will face each other on Thursday, the Swiss club leaving in a very favorable waiver after their 3-0 victory in the first leg.

The winner of the Europa League will get a ticket to the Champions League group stage.
