“On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 366 (threat against an official performing official duties) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, ”the message says.
According to the investigation, on the evening of August 3, the head of the precinct election commission found leaflets in the mailbox at her place of residence and in the entrance of her relative, containing "threats against her in connection with the performance of her official duties."
The leaflet contained her contact details and a photograph.
The identity of the person who distributed the leaflets is currently being established.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus said that the situation on the eve of the elections is heating up.
