Trade between the two Koreas is expected to take place for the first time since the government announced its sanctions to counter the North Korean incident of Cheonan 10 years ago. It is a way of bartering North Korean alcohol and our sugar. Only the final approval of the Ministry of Unification remains, which is being reviewed positively.

Reporter Ahn Jung-sik, a reporter from North Korea, reported alone.

A contract was signed between the two Koreas to bring in 150 million won worth of North Korean alcoholic beverages, such as Gaeseong Korean ginseng wine, Ryu Kyung Soju, and blueberry wine, to South Korea.

The two are the contracting parties, and the Chinese company has played the intermediary role.

Only the Ministry of Unification's final approval remained, but officials from the Ministry of Unification said it would approve the import if there were no defects in the procedural requirements.

North Korean liquor is to be imported from Nampo to Incheon via Dalian, China, and in consideration of UN sanctions, 167 tons of South Korean sugar is passed as cash instead of cash.

[Park Jong-Pil/Vice Chairman of the Beijing National Unification Agricultural Cooperative Association: (Did you (North Korea) show rejection when you said you would exchange barter with sugar?) It was not there. After

the 5·24 sanctions against North Korea following the Cheonan incident, North Korea's bottled water has been brought in as an exchange, but North Korea's goods come in in exchange for trade. It is the first time in a year.

The Unification Association said that North Korea is active in direct trade between Incheon and Nampo,

[Park Jong-Pil / Vice Chairman of the Beijing National Unification Agricultural Cooperative: (North Korea) is very active. If the North is not a corona, (North and South), it is okay to enter a direct route (things).]

In May, the government announced that the announcement that the May 24 measures were ineffective was the background of the contract.

Unification Minister Lee In-young has emphasized the small trade of the barter exchange system, so it is worth noting whether the exchanges between the two Koreas will open after the spot exchange.
