It is not possible to book a seat on several of SJ's regional trains, including those in Sörmland. Now SJ wants travelers before they go to use the new information service to find out which routes usually have many passengers, something that Svenska Dagbladet first reported on.

- The recommendation is not to travel in rush hour traffic, says SJ's press communicator Simon Hermansson to SVT.

Risk of congestion

The routes that SJ flags for can be heavily congested at certain times are Stockholm – Eskilstuna / Örebro, Sala – Eskilstuna-Linköping (Uven), Stockholm – Falun / Mora, Gothenburg – Västerås / Stockholm and Stockholm – Uppsala.

- We follow the travel development all the time and look at the departures where more people want to go with us. There we also have the opportunity to put in more carriages and run longer trains, says Simon Hermansson, press communicator SJ.
