It was in December last year that a number of men went to a 20-year-old man's address in Ånge. According to the indictment, they must have come there to primarily rob him of various belongings, but during the robbery, the 20-year-old was locked up, taped around his hands, feet, neck, mouth and nose and beaten. This must have caused bleeding and later the plaintiff's death by suffocation.

According to the indictment, the act should be judged to be extremely ruthless and crude because it was a protracted course of events of a torture-like kind that caused strong fear of death.

A suspect on the loose

Four men have been charged in connection with the incident. One of them for murder, kidnapping and aggravated robbery. Another two of the men were charged only with aggravated robbery and the fourth man was charged with aiding and abetting robbery. A fifth man who is also suspected of the murder is still at large abroad and has not yet been charged.

The proceedings against the four accused in Sundsvall District Court will begin on Monday. The trial is expected to last seven days.
