The lifeless body of a 19-year-old girl was found this Monday evening off the beach of Marenda in Canet-en-Roussillon in the Pyrénées-Orientales. She had been reported in great difficulty with two young men in the early evening due to the swell. The latter were able to regain the land by themselves before being taken care of by the emergency services, reports Midi Libre.

At around 10 p.m., the victim's body was discovered by the Dragon 66 helicopter and the diving firefighters. An investigation was opened by the police.
