04 August 2020 The 12-year-old killed by a stray bullet would end up in a shooting between rival gangs. It happened in Sweden last Sunday, near a gas station south of Stockholm.
It is still unclear what happened and the police, who opened an investigation, did not disclose the name of the young victim and made no arrests.

First reconstructions
According to local media, gunmen were clashing with two members of a criminal gang. The gangs weren't going to hit the 12-year-old.

The minister of justice
Candles and flowers were brought to the scene of death and many called for stronger action against gang violence. Justice Minister Morgan Johansson told TT agency that he was dismayed by death and promised "more police and harsher sentences".

Sweden creates task force
Sweden announced last year that it had created a special task force to combat gang violence. Police have been given additional surveillance powers and penalties for drug-related crimes or possession of weapons have been tightened.
In the first six months of 2020, 20 people died in 163 shootings, according to Swedish police data, in 2019 there were 42 deaths in 334 shootings.
